On the 9th September 2006 Everton defated their local rivals Liverpool in the 205th Merseyside derby. As per usual those bitter reds expected another 3 points and to be the pride of Mersey side. On the 9th minute Timmy Cahill, the Australian International who has exceeded everybodies initial excpectations as a former league one player, playing for those horrible tw*ts Milwall, put the blues 1 up with a trademark finish. On the 36th minute AJ put the mighty blues 2-0 up and evertonains were already singing the blues..' when everton win, and Liverpool lose, Oh Everton..You got me singing the blues'. Everton sealed the victory on the 91st minute by a Pepe Reina' cock-up that will stay in the hearts of many blues forever...
Shortly before the game, my heart was pounding as the players ran out of the tunnel with the infamous Z-cars filling the air my best mate sent me a text, that went a bit like this...
Another mersey-side derby dawns, some will rise others will fall:but let it be known, for we have already won the greatest prize of all...for we are Evertonians.
